LUCIA MABASA

Lucia Mabasa joined pinpoint one human resources in March 2002. During her first year with pinpoint one human resources, she completed a fast-track mentoring programme to become a Senior Recruitment Consultant. She successfully consulted for a number of private and public organisations. She was appointed Executive Director in January 2005 and since 2010 Lucia is a shareholder and Managing Director of pinpoint one human resources. In this role Lucia actively drives and directs the business in the current dynamic economic environment enhancing its credible reputation for professional and efficient executive search and human capital solutions.

Lucia has in depth experience in HR consulting and in human capital solutions focusing on the executive resourcing of C-suite executives, professionals, specialist and scarce skills. She advises and partners with boards to facilitate the appointment of high performance teams. Lucia also has experience in labour market research which includes expertise in retention, incentivisation and employment equity strategies within the financial services industry. She obtained an MA Industrial Sociology from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Clive H Viveiros is a founder member and shareholder of pinpoint one human resources. Clive is steeped in executive search, people resourcing and recruitment. He has successfully searched and placed C-Suite executives, specialist and critical skills in diverse functional disciplines. With over 30 years’ experience, competence and wisdom he is able to deliver broad human resources solutions to his clients. His industry experience spans a variety of sectors with specific reference, but not exclusive to: Arts and culture, Infrastructure and construction Medical, pharmaceutical and healthcare and ICT industries.

Clive has gained a superior reputation for executive search and recruitment within the public sector ensuring good governance, compliance, transparency and objectiveness in the recruitment and selection value chain.

He has made a significant contribution to the EE and transformation objectives of his clients through his successful placement delivery on retained and exclusive search assignments.

He has successfully recruited in the SADC region.

He has been a major contributor to pinpoint one’s own transformation objectives with pinpoint one human resources commitment to achieving B-BBEE Level 1 Accredited Supplier status for six consecutive years and to pinpoint one obtaining three BASA (Business Arts South Africa) Awards. He has been part of the executive team that guided the business together with Lucia and Florence through the 2008/ 2010 global recession to its current success as a reputable retained search firm.

Clive has a BA Law from the University of Natal, Durban (now known as the University of KwaZulu Natal) and obtained an MBA from Wits Business School at the age of 26. He also has the recognised industry qualification – MIPSC.

Florence was responsible for the Human Resourcing function, across the industrial manufacturing and the healthcare business operations of AFROX nationally and for the Southern African operations. The Human Resourcing function included recruitment, succession planning, talent mapping, psychometric and cognitive assessments focused on career and competency development plans, the management of the bursary schemes focused on attracting engineers and engineering technicians from all engineering disciplines into the company. She was also the custodian of the development of line managers to be competent in these responsibilities within their business units. Her prior role was as a generalist human resources practitioner in the Mining industry.

Rebecca Molebatsi joined pinpoint one human resources in 2006 managing many advertisement response handling projects. After she successfully managed these projects, she was appointed as an Assignment Coordinator in 2008. After a short period of six months, she was then promoted to manage the portfolio - Tender Management. There after she was rapidly promoted to the role of Strategic Support of the Managing Director and the business of pinpoint one.

She continues to deliver and contribute to the growth of pinpoint one through her commitment to the business.

She has developed an in-depth understanding g of executive search and the ancillary value-added services such as assessments and C-Suite Executive coaching. She has the ability to confidently interact with pinpoint one clients ensuring confidentiality and a seamless executive search process.

Rebecca is also responsible for the collation of industry intelligence that enables pinpoint one to deliver on diverse and multiple assignments.

Marchelle Hermanus joined pinpoint one human resources in 2021 as a Research Associate, focusing on searching top talent and connecting with candidates, the team, and clients. She is currently the Chief Operations Offer, where she leads a high-performance team with a passion for serving the C-suit market within South Africa and broader African market.

She has strong Talent Acquisition experience through her 16+ years within the Agency as well as the corporate side of Recruitment. She has the ability to work across all levels of recruitment not only as a Generalist Recruiter, but also can work with a wide range of people throughout the industry.

She has previously consulted to SMEs within the HR, space focusing on IR, OD and recruiting. Her passion is recruitment and finding Top Talent.

Assessments

Anne Newman is a registered psychologist who has worked extensively in the field of Talent Development, from assessment of competencies and learning potential, to development of talent by means of specially designed accelerated coaching and development programmes. She has many years of experience in coaching and brings about change using her skills as a psychologist combined with many years of corporate experience and knowledge.

 

Newman specializes in assessment design which aims to provide accurate information from selected psychometric tests, case studies, in baskets and structured interviews. She works from competency-based job profiles so that assessments are designed to cover the identified competencies of the job. Assessments are conducted at all levels from top executive positions to shop floor workers and are aimed at identifying potential and ability in people.
Reports are concise and reader friendly so that HR specialists may share them with managers who are not qualified in psychological assessment. Anne makes recommendations regarding suitability for employment into the specified role. These recommendations include information on how to address competency gaps.

 

Psychometric assessment batteries are carefully designed to ensure that there is no bias and that the process is culture fair. Some of the assessment tools used have been developed in the Southern African region and measure potential as well as present ability so that recommendations can be made about talent development. All assessment tools are valid globally and have international norms.

 

Assessments are conducted all over the world using on-line and e-mail processes. These are supervised in the case of intellectual assessments.

 

She offers a 24-hour turnaround from assessment administration to delivery of reports, in order to accelerate the recruitment process. Feedback is offered to candidates when the recruitment process is completed with the permission of the client.
