Agriculture: Grower Technical Support & Finance Readiness

A senior-level opportunity exists for a results-driven professional with a solid grounding in both agronomy and grower financial preparedness. The Specialist: Grower Technical Support & Finance Readiness will drive farmer enablement through structured technical support, financial capacity-building, and development-focused stakeholder coordination.
This role supports the growth and sustainability of emerging and commercial growers by aligning production systems with funding readiness, compliance, and long-term viability.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver commodity-specific technical advisory to growers across priority sectors
- Strengthen finance readiness among farmers through business planning, budgeting, and compliance preparation
- Support grower onboarding into market-linked programmes and offtake arrangements
- Align technical support with institutional risk, credit, and investment frameworks
- Monitor grower performance and maintain accurate data for reporting, planning, and continuous improvement
- Engage with input suppliers, aggregators, and programme stakeholders to support integrated farmer development
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or a related field
- At least 5–7 years’ experience in grower support, technical advisory, or agri-finance enablement
- Strong understanding of farming systems, agricultural cost structures, and commercial readiness
- Demonstrated ability to interact with farmers, development partners, and cross-functional internal teams
- Knowledge of PFMA, compliance frameworks, and agricultural development policy
- Proficient in data analysis, field diagnostics, and programme reporting
