We are recruiting for an experienced Remuneration & Benefits Specialist to lead the design, development and implementation of comprehensive remuneration strategies for a leading financial institution.
This is a senior-level, highly specialised role requiring proven expertise in remuneration strategy design, governance, incentive frameworks and grading methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of the organisation’s full remuneration and benefits strategy.
- Design and manage salary structures, incentive schemes, and total reward frameworks to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Conduct complex job evaluations, grading (Hay, Paterson), and organisational design projects.
- Provide expert advisory to executive leadership, remuneration committees, and boards.
- Oversee remuneration governance, compliance and risk management in line with legislation (BCEA, LRA, King IV, Tax Act).
- Conduct market benchmarking, remuneration analytics and prepare board-level reporting.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Business, Finance, HR or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years senior-level experience in remuneration & benefits management.
- Extensive experience in remuneration strategy design, total reward frameworks, and incentive scheme development.
- Strong organisational design, job evaluation, grading and governance experience.
- Advanced analytics, financial modelling and reporting capability.
- Expertise in payroll, taxation, compliance and reward risk management.
- Experience in financial services, DFI, SOE or banking sectors highly preferred.
- GRP certification and SAP HC system experience advantageous.
